Healing is the essence of our charism, the heart of our identity. Wholeness is the passion and is at the core of how we see life. In every ministry, each of the Medical Mission Sisters strives to be a healing presence of Christ the Healer in the community of life.
We express our healing presence in a variety of ways. An integrated approach that strives to bring health, healing, and wholeness at the heart of the wounded community of life is our thrust. This is expressed in hospital based health care, community health, alternate health care, drugless therapies, therapeutic counselling, response to HIV/AIDS, de-addiction and rehabilitation of victims of drugs and alcohol, action against human trafficking, protection of ecology, environment and bio-diversity, safe migration of the poor, promotion of sustainable development, enhancement of socio-economic-cultural determinants of health, pastoral and palliative ministry (Spiritual Animation), advocacy, justice and other issue based activities. In all these, the focus is to bring about justice and dignity to women, children, and other marginalized sections of the society. The journey into this new world reality continues in collaboration, partnership, and networking with Church, Religious, Government and likeminded groups at all levels.
